Stronger Sub Group

The Stronger Sub Group is a multi-agency group which sits under the Safer and Stronger Communities Thematic Partnership.  Its aim is to take forward activities that support achievement of the 'stronger' theme within the Safer and Stronger Communities Thematic Partnership, such as developing the role of the third sector, increasing people's ability to influence decision-making and increasing levels of volunteering.

The Stronger Sub Group is chaired by Moira Chapman from Cheshire Police Authority.

In early 2011, the Stronger Group reformed and refocused itself to respond to the evolving "Big Society" agenda.  A workshop was held on 7th March entitled "Building a Big Civil Society" which aimed to bring organisations, groups and partners together to develop a "West Cheshire Big Society Action Plan" to shape our joint approach to engaging, developing and empowering our communities.
