Safer and Stronger Communities

The Safer and Stronger Communities Thematic Partnership is a multi agency group primarily managing the delivery of eight safer stronger Local Area Agreement targets negotiated and agreed between West Cheshire Together and central government.

In addition to this, the thematic partnership has also identified five strategic priorities for focus:-

The thematic partnership has created a structure to allow initiatives to be delivered in local areas and each Area Partnership Board has a Community Safety Task Group including operational officers able to deliver locally.

The thematic partnership, in conjunction with the Area Partnership Boards, will deliver a West Cheshire Together event in each of the five APB areas within 2009/10.  These events will be multi agency and will address issues raised by community members, including clean up events; speed monitoring; tax disk initiatives; skips available for community use; youth diversionary events; graffiti removal......and much more.

"The thematic partnership has identified a number of strategic priorities that we will target resources at efficiently and effectively to achieve.  We are confident that we can collectively add value to the work that is already being carried out by individual agencies to make West Cheshire a better place to live".
