Business, Enterprise and Culture
The Business, Enterprise and Culture Thematic Partnership existed to:-
- secure future jobs by supporting local businesses to grow and prosper;
- encourage enterprise and attract new businesses to the area; and
- support the development of employment opportunities in the cultural sector.
The last formal meeting of the Business, Enterprise and Culture Thematic Partnership was held on 20th January 2011. It was agreed to no longer hold formal meetings to allow the BEC Board to be subsumed into the Local Enterprise Partnership ( LEP ) for Cheshire and Warrington which was in place by 1st April 2011. This will avoid duplication at the strategic level and ensure best use of people's time.
The LEP will become the main strategic Board to best represent the interests of business, enterprise and skills.
The BEC virtual network will be maintained and used to contact and inform the wider membership and partners.
Further information can be obtained from Fil Prevc,
Policy Manager, on 01244 972885.
