West Cheshire Together
Working in partnership for local people
Home Page » West Cheshire Together funding opportunity
Approximately £30k has been allocated to West Cheshire Together for the financial year 2011/12 via Second Homes Taxation. When originally allocated to the partnership in 2007/8 it was used to support the achievement of Local Area Agreement (LAA) outcomes. Following the demise of the LAA last year, it has now been agreed that this funding should be used to support the delivery of West Cheshire Together strategic priorities. The intention is that this funding will be used to support a number of innovative projects which individually and collectively take forward a range of these priorities. We will also be looking to support projects which would not be viable without this funding.
A brief exercise to identify our strategic priorities has been undertaken. This includes a review of the prioritisation exercises we have undertaken including the current Sustainable Community Strategy, Comprehensive Area Assessment (2009/10) and the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (attachment 1 below) and also a review of our old LAA outturn (attachment 2 below). This indicates a broad spread of interests across our cross-cutting themes.
Application ProcessThis will be taken forward through a formal application process (application form attachment 3 below) which will progress through the following stages:-
(i) This application form and guidance is being distributed across our partnerships network, with a deadline for submissions of 5pm on Friday 30th September 2011.(ii) The applications will be reviewed in terms of how well they contribute to our priorities and also represent innovative partnership working. (iii) Decisions will be reported at the next LSP Steering Group meeting on 20th October 2011.
