Residents throughout West Cheshire are being asked to get involved with their community next month by setting a Big Lunch date with their neighbours. Events around the UK are taking shape from simple tea parties in gardens to large street parties for the whole neighbourhood.
Led by the Eden Project and supported by a whole range of partners including the Big Lottery Fund, MasterCard, EDF Energy and the Department for Communities and Local Government, this annual event encourages millions of people to join forces and knock on the door of their neighbour, say hello and sit down to lunch together in a simple act of community. Building on last year's event, it is hoped even more people will take part, building stronger communities and giving neighbourhoods a chance to come together, share food and have fun.
