Council wants your views to address key strategies

Media release (4 November 2009)

What do you want to see happening in Cheshire West and Chester in the future? Where should development go? What do you think should be the priorities for your community?

These are the issues the Council wants views upon and aims to address through its key strategies that will meet the challenges of the years ahead.

Through to 13 January 2010 Cheshire West and Chester Council, working jointly with West Cheshire Together the Local Strategic Partnership, will be carrying out a major consultation on three key documents:

Councillor Mike Jones, Leader of Cheshire West and Chester Council, said: "Until 13 January 2010 there will be plenty of opportunities for everyone, whether as individuals, communities or organisations, to get involved and get your views across. These plans are important and will affect most people in the future.

"You can attend one of a number of events to listen to what the Council is proposing as possible issues and options for the future or simply complete a questionnaire - whatever suits you.

"These three documents are closely linked and affect the future for everyone whether you live in, work in or visit the borough. The Council wants your help to shape these strategies and guide the area's future development."

Wherever possible, joint events are being held where all of the above strategies can be viewed and discussed. Meetings where the three strategies will be discussed include Community Forums. Officers can also be contacted to address groups.

All the documents and details of how to get involved are available on the Council's website.
