Community Forums

Fourteen Community Forums have been created across the borough.  Designed to operate at the local level and based on current (as at 1st April 2009) ward boundaries, they give local communities (residents and organisations) an opportunity to contribute to local decision making to create better services and improvements for their areas.

Each Community Forum will meet a minimum of four times a year, with additional ad hoc meetings convened when necessary to consider emerging important issues in a timely and consistent way.

Each Community Forum comprises the respective Cheshire West and Chester Council ward members.  Some have elected Chairs and Vice Chairs, others opting for a more informal approach.  Representatives from Local (Town and Parish) Councils, community groups and partners from the public, private, community, voluntary and faith sectors are invited to attend Community Forum meetings.
